During her winter stay in northern Norway, Noor van der Wal captured the first rays of sunlight that returned after 28 days. These slowly lengthening days with scarce, short, and indirect sunlight forced her to slow down her working process. She photographed on positive 4×5” sheet film. By presenting the original film in a small light box, this fleeting moment of light and passing time reappears.
