In Het Witte Wieven Archief, Jet Siemons collects stories, places, and traces linked to the Witte Wieven — ghostlike women from Dutch folklore said to inhabit burial mounds, marshes, and forests. Once midwives and herbalists, their presence has faded from history, surviving as legend and mist.

What began as a personal search for childhood belief has become an exploration of what these myths reveal about the Netherlands today. Siemons moves between faith and doubt, between explanation and mystery, reimagining the Witte Wieven as something to remember, to keep, and perhaps to believe in again.
