From the series 'Microchimerism'. Motherhood transforms a person, even down to the cellular level. Research shows that fetal DNA can continue to circulate within the mother’s body for decades, perhaps even for life: a phenomenon known as microchimerism.

In this project, I explore how motherhood reshapes our identities. I was drawn to the question of how we live with the gradual act of letting go: we begin as one body, yet with each passing day our child needs us less. Within this shift exists a constant tension between self and other, between holding on and letting go.
