One of the highlights of our spring program is a Ghost Walk through Rotterdam-Noord, led by Jet Siemons. Together with a group of interested participants and local residents, she explores the hidden stories that linger in the neighborhood: local spirits, historical figures, and mysterious presences just beyond our sight. The route passes sites steeped in legend and forgotten histories, from old buildings near Noord Station to tales of Hillegonda of Hillegersberg.
As we walk, we collect anecdotes, personal memories, and oral traditions passed down through generations yet at risk of fading away. The district becomes a living archive where folklore, urban stories, and magic intersect. Participants are invited to explore, interpret, and experience these narratives firsthand, discovering how the unseen and the past continue to shape the city today.
The walk lasts approximately one hour and concludes with a drink at the gallery, offering a relaxed moment to reflect together on the experience.
