◼︎ Ballon Rouge Talents
The Ballon Rouge Talent Program was launched in 2025, founded by Sanne Romeijn and Marlike Marks, to support emerging photographers in developing and realizing their own exhibitions. Each year, one or more participants are guided from initial concept to finished exhibition through a combination of mentorship, practical support, and input from experts in the field, including curators, editors, and PR and social media specialists. The program is also supported by various cultural funds, providing the resources to create a structured and professional pathway for the participants.
Since its launch, the program has helped photographers refine their projects, select and sequence their images, develop texts, and translate their work into coherent exhibitions. Past editions have included sessions with curators such as Fleurie Kloostra and Hedy van Erp, text support from Raffaella Huizinga, practical guidance on editions and pricing from Vivian Ammerlaan, and PR and visibility advice from Maarten Vromans. Through this combination of mentorship, professional expertise, and institutional support, the program ensures that each participant can approach their project with both creative depth and practical readiness.
Currently, the program is supporting Jet Siemons in the development of her solo exhibition at Ballon Rouge.
